Some stories begin with a suitcase and a sense of adventure. Gabriele’s began in 2004, when he left Pisa for Ireland with nothing but determination. What was meant to be a short adventure became five years of building a new life: finding work, making friends, and discovering who he could become.

Italy called him back, and for twelve years he ran an online board game business in Pisa. Later, in Liguria, he found his passion for hospitality in a farmstay, gaining experience in farming, guest services, restaurant operations, and management. There, he learned what it means to create comfort and a place that feels like home.

When the opportunity to join Cascina Cipressa arose, it felt like the perfect moment to return to his roots. Drawn by the vineyards, authentic cuisine, stunning views, and warm hospitality, Gabriele embraced the challenge of leading the agriturismo into its next chapter.

“For us, a stay at Cascina Cipressa is more than a room, it’s an experience,” he says. “We love guests to immerse themselves in the rhythm and beauty of Tuscany through our food, wines, outdoor activities, and caring family atmosphere.”

Originally from Poland, Artur and Monica have called Tuscany home for over 20 years. They fell in love with the region on a holiday and decided to leave Poland for a new life in Italy surrounded by nature.

Artur has extensive experience working at one of the region’s largest vineyards and now manages the vineyard and olive groves at Cascina Cipressa. If you spot him among the vines, don’t hesitate to stop for a chat—he’s always happy to share his knowledge!

Monica oversees the logistics of the agriturismo, ensuring that everything keeps running smoothly.  Together with Gabriele, she is the main contact for our guests. Her greatest satisfaction is seeing guests enjoy their time at Cascina Cipressa to the fullest.

At the heart of every memorable dining experience is a passionate chef, and we are delighted to welcome David to the Cascina Cipressa family.

As the chef of our restaurant Cipressino, David brings creativity, dedication, and a love for authentic flavours to every dish. Working with fresh, seasonal ingredients, he helps create the warm and genuine dining experience that reflects the spirit of Tuscany and the hospitality of Cascina Cipressa.

Whether you join us for a leisurely dinner, a special celebration, or simply to enjoy the beauty of the countryside, David and his team look forward to sharing their passion for good food and unforgettable moments around the table.

Mariella is a true Tuscan through and through. She’s the mother figure of our agriturismo: warm, kind, and always ready to lend a helping hand.

In the morning, you’ll find her in the kitchen preparing our memorable breakfasts.

With her baking talent, she could easily win a spot on Bake-Off, but luckily for us, her unbeatable fresh pastries are made just for our guests. Don’t miss the chance to try them!
